A Segway is a two-wheeled, self-balancing, battery-operated human transportation vehicle. It is operated in a standing position. It should not be confused with a scooter, or cegway. It is a non-motorized, eco-friendly machine that uses renewable credit energy during its operation. The Segway leaves no carbon footprint on the environment.
Riding the Segway X2 feels like nothing you’ve ever experienced because there’s never been anything like it. Step on and your instinct will be to steady yourself, as you would on anything with two wheels. But almost immediately you’ll realize that the Segway X2 is balancing for you, almost like it has become an extension of you. Just lean forward a little and you’ll see that the Segway X2 isn’t moving you on its own; it’s moving in response to you and what you tell it to do. It all feels natural and really cool.
The Segway X2 uses LeanSteer™ Technology to move you from Point A to B. Gently move the LeanSteer frame and handlebar left or right in the direction you want to travel and feel the machine respond almost instantly. The Segway X2 balances by using five micro-machined angular rate sensors and two accelerometers that sense the changing terrain and your body position at 100 times per second.

We provide a brief, but thorough orientation that will explain all aspects of operating the Segway, after that you receive individual on-Segway training and then you spend some additional time riding the Segway in our training area until you are comfortable with operating the Segway on your own. Young and old alike are surprised at how easily they learn to operate a Segway.

Some physical and mobility issues (and mobility diseases) preclude riding safely. You may call to discuss.
Dress appropriately for the weather. Closed toed shoes, rather than sandals or flip flops are recommended, but not required. Sunscreen is also a good idea.
In Aruba, the people don’t take the weather services too seriously. They don’t need too. “Sunny and warm” is not news. The average annual rainfall is less than 20”, the average temperature is 82 degrees (27 Celsius) and we are located outside the hurricane belt. We have learned that, if it rains, a little bit of patience pays off in our guests having a great tour. If on the rare occasion it is raining on the day your tour is scheduled, contact us at +297-740-7675 or by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. Tipping your guide is at your discretion. Guides greatly appreciate any gratuities as they make every effort to ensure your comfort, inform you of points of interest, instruct you on the best methods of using and handling the Segway in your control, and to be at your service should you need extra assistance – someone to snap a photo or additional information about recommended restaurants and other attractions. If you believe your guide has provided excellent service then feel free to show your appreciation.
